NEW Network Rail Approved Drainage Catchpit Sizes
Cubis’ track side drainage system FLEXI Pit is the only Network Rail approved range of GRP catchpits for use on the network. With a patented, adjustable backfill board to allow the invert level to be changed in-situ the system has now had 5 new sizes approved taking the total to 8 for use across the network. The new and existing sizes will enable installation teams to install a wider range of sizes with varying depths to suit the requirements for drainage across more locations
The new sizes are: 1200 x 675mm, 1200 x 750mm, 1200 x 1000mm, 1350 x 900mm and 1350 x 1350mm.
These complement our existing range of: 1160 x 380mm, 1200 x 600mm and 1310 x 850mm.
With the increase in extreme weather events and the effects of climate change meaning that there is a greater need for a wider range of sizes to accommodate a functioning railway and the introduction of these new sizes will allow drainage engineers a huge amount of choice when designing the drainage networks of the future.
