Product Selection FAQs
Do you have a question for us?
Below we breakdown a number of frequently asked questions in relation to product selection and what services are available in order to ensure you find and specify the most suitable Cubis product for your project. If you are unable to find the answer to your questions, please contact a member of our expert team.
The size and depth of an Access Chamber can vary based on a variety of different aspects. Factors such as the type of utility, the number of required cables and pipes, and the bending radius of cables all play a factor, alongside many more. With this in mind, Cubis advise that any requirements are discussed with the team before placing an order. Please contact our Business Development Team to help with product selection, alternatively, call us on 02838 313100.
Cubis Access Chambers are not sealed however, the reason for this is that water typically enters through both the covers as well as the ducts, all of which are not sealed. We find the most effective solution for mitigating water ingress is to have a soakaway/drainage point within the base of the chamber. This ensures the chamber will not fill with water and become stagnant causing an array of health and welfare problems.

Cubis Systems supply Access Covers based off the internal clear opening of the underlying chamber, as opposed to the external dimensions over the cover. The size should be specified in millimeters to ensure accuracy and a secure fit. These internal measurements are also used when selecting the appropriate access chamber for the system.
