Reporting to the Procurement Manager, the successful candidate will support operational delivery of reliable supply chain. Based at our Lurgan, Liverpool or Stoke site their key responsibilities will include:

  • Ensuring all purchased part data is correctly updated into Epicor (ERP)
  • Working to high processes and procurement standards of excellence within the business, demonstrating procurement value to stakeholders
  • Working with a commercial focus of procurement activities by identifying and drawing on synergies across the wider IPE and wider CRH Group
  • Supporting the end to end ordering and tendering process within our new ERP system, involving all relevant stakeholders in a regulated SOX compliant process
  • Day to day activity delivery which enables tenders and business units to run on-time deliveries
  • Assisting in the identification of new suppliers, consolidate the number of suppliers already in place, while increasing our creditor days and terms
  • Assist with supplier negotiations and contract performance to get the best service
  • Assist in the development of best in class expertise on Epicor and market knowledge for assigned projects
  • Project manage the day to day outsourcing projects to other CRH companies and third-party supply, including material ordering and call of requirements – Cabka and SVI
  • Projects and Placements will include projects within the Production, Planning, Technical and Business systems such as Finance, Logistics and Sales will encompass on the job training, mentoring and both internal and external formal training sessions

Reporting to the Health & Safety Manager, the Health & Safety Officer will drive, support and advise on Health & Safety issues across a multi-site manufacturing business and to establish, manage, enforce and monitor standards, processes, communications, training and systems to ensure all responsibilities associated with Health and Safety across all Cubis sites are adhered to.Cubis sites. Based at our Liverpool or Fenton site, they will:

  • Provide advice, information and instruction on H&S issues at our Cubis, Liverpool and Fenton sites
  • Drive and support operations in ensuring all H&S requirements are met.
  • Review, modify and create, as required, Risk Assessments and Training leaflets; in line with the CRH Life Saving Rules and UK H&S legislation.
  • Thorough investigation of incidents, injuries and serious near misses and implement control measures.
  • Work closely with the H&S Manager to deliver and complete statutory notifications to the Health & Safety Authority and all relevant incident / accident reporting.
  • Control contractor management system on site.
  • Work with the Health & Safety Manager to develop injury and incident prevention strategies and action plans.
  • Enforce compliance with H&S policy and procedures.
  • Enforce COSHH system management
  • Communicate and drive H&S awareness
  • Drive and develop new safety initiatives as part of group projects.

Based at our Biddulph Moor site, the Goods Inward Co-Ordinator will work closely with both the Purchasing and Production departments as well as the Inventory team at the front end of the material flow process. They will assist in the continued implementation of the ERP system, with particular emphasis on stock accuracy and the receipt of goods. They will also be responsible for:

  • Booking in parts against purchase orders and report any discrepancies
  • Storing parts in the relevant warehouse location in a timely manner
  • Product inspections
  • Issuing parts to factory operators
  • Following the goods return procedure for product non-conformances.
  • Controlling raw materials

  • Providing high levels of administration support to the Finance department
  • Receiving and relaying a high volume of incoming calls to appropriate staff
  • Receiving and referring on-site visitors
  • Opening and distributing incoming mail
  • Raising issues with internal telephone system
  • Maintaining directors’ diaries
  • POD scanning and uploading, supply to customers and month end check of receipt of all POD’s
  • Organising travel arrangements including flights, accommodation and car hire as and when requested
