Reporting to the NI & ROI Operations Director the successful candidate will help drive the manufacturing engineering function to deliver continuous improvement programmes across all areas of production including production engineering test and quality. The successful candidate will be based at our Lurgan site. They will be responsible for: 

  • Leading and managing a team of engineers who will be responsible for the introduction of new products and new manufacturing processes that support business objectives and site preventative maintenance programmes.
  • Ensuring that new products are released to manufacturing on-time and with all the correct supporting documentation, tools and test equipment
  • Analyse capacity requirements, identify shortfalls and plan for future increases.
  • Review current manufacturing methods to highlight areas for improvement.
  • Lead new product and process introduction in a fast moving and growing business, reviewing product design and find the most productive, efficient, and cost-effective manufacturing methods
  • Use lean tools and methods to improve the productivity of existing manufacturing processes
  • Create new and correct/modify/rewrite existing SOPs and be responsible for manufacturing change control
  • Prepare component and assembly cost estimates to support financial decisions required to evaluate new business opportunities
  • Develop and monitor KPI's for your team and report on these in monthly management reports.
  • Drive the development of Manufacturing Engineers and Engineering Technicians through appropriate training
  • Managing external relationships and work across functionality
  • Support a continuous improvement culture within the manufacturing environment

Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer the successful candidate will help drive production and planning while managing the interface between commercial, purchasing, multisite production and logistical teams to ensure the efficient utilisation of assets to meet customer demand. The successful candidate will be based at our Lurgan site. They will also be responsible for:

  • Production planning and management activities across a multisite manufacturing environment
  • Demand vs capacity analysis including forecast vs actual trending to identify excess/constraint resources and enable pre-emptive reaction to significant change in demand
  • Develop and manage manufacturing lead time policy against different product categories
  • Manage company stock levels of finished and semi-finished goods across all sites in line with stocking policy
  • Proactively identify delays and work with Commercial teams to minimise impact to customer
  • Implement standardised planning and scheduling reviews daily/weekly/monthly to ensure effective communication between key internal stakeholders
  • Plan production work-flow through site-based scheduling teams to ensure the most efficient utilisation of resources and optimised make vs buy split
  • Develop production plan, budget and timelines according to production specifications
  • Ensure safe working practise of the planning and scheduling teams
  • Develop team review performance and oversee departmental training and development initiatives
  • Assist in new product development and enhancements
  • Management reporting

Reporting to the Sales Supervisor, we are seeking a proactive and motivated candidate with a can-do attitude to build strong relationships with customers over the telephone to sell our wide range of products. Based at our Lurgan site their key responsibilities will be:

  • To provide a point of contact for all customers seeking quotations and information on our range of products and to act as sales support for the external based commercial teams
  • To optimise the commercial performance of the business in conjunction with the wider commercial team
  • To identify key trends, opportunities and risks for the business. Communicate same to line manager and through CRM system
  • Identify new business targets and key accounts
  • Gain commitment and trust for Cubis to work in partnership within clients within the sector
  • Provide market information feedback to the Marketing and Product Development departments directly and via CRM system
  • Ensure a smooth and timely sales process to include the return of quotations and production information
  • Establishment of pricing levels to maximise profitability in conjunction within estimating department
  • Assist with the preparation of forecasts and reporting of current pipeline of business
  • Assist with the development of business and commercial plans aligned to the business strategy
