How It Works
One metre long sections are connected together using jointing pegs which allow for 1-3° of possible movement to follow gentle curves in the track. Laying MM RAILduct™ is typically five times faster than traditional concrete units, thereby reducing the total cost of installation.
Glass-reinforced plastic (GRP) is a composite material, fibre-reinforced polymer made of a plastic reinforced by fine fibres made of glass. GRP has a high strength to weight ratio, high temperature range, high mechanical properties and is fire retardant. Additionally, GRP is also chemically insert and isn't susceptible to creep.
Covers can be locked and opened individually or as a combination of several covers and can be secured against the threat of vandalism or theft with standard tamper proof locks and keys.
MM RAILduct™ is suitable for installation in environments rated to Class A load rating (ultimate limit state design of 10kN) under the Australian Standard AS/NZ 3996.
This makes MM RAILduct™ suitable for areas accessible to pedestrians only.
