Extensive lifespan
The pit component of our SIT pits is manufactured by a rotational moulding process using black ultra violet light stabilised polyethylene material, while the concrete component is manufactured with a minimum 40MPa steel reinforced concrete. In combination, this makes sure that our SIT pits are durable and withstand harsh outdoor conditions.
Superior design that meets AU Standard
Our MONObox™ plastic pit range is designed and tested to Class A applications, under the Australian Standard AS/NZ 3996. Under specific conditions, MONObox™ pits can be rated up to Class B (See Load Rating section below).
Provides OH&S benefit
The MONObox™ SIT pit range is lightweight and stackable allowing for easy transportation, requiring less room and thereby reducing costs.
Manufactured from recycled materials
Our MONObox™ plastic pit range is manufactured from up to 70% recycled materials ensuring that your pit solution is sustainable and environmentally considerate.
Materials
High Density Polyethylene - HDPE
Cubis’ MONObox™ SIT pits are manufactured by a rotational moulding process using black ultra violet light stabilised high density polyethylene material and have been developed in partnership with industry and major authorities to ensure they meet the stringent requirements for installation and long-term use.
40MPa steel reinforced concrete
High strength concrete has a compressive strength of 40MPa or greater. Cubis manufactures their SIT pit assembly using steel reinforced concrete to ensure a minimum of 40MPa.
Galvanised Mild Steel
Out SIT pits have a 16mm thick HD steel grade 250 galvanised lid secured by a chain.

Load Rating
Our MONObox™ SIT pits are manufactured to a Class A load rating (ultimate limit state design load of 10kN) under the Australian Standard AS/NZ 3996.
Pits can be rated up to Class B when installed in the ground and backfilled with concrete with internal PVC pipe support. A range of covers up to Class B are available to match each plastic pit depending on the load rating required.

Fibre reinforced high strength precast concrete SIT collars are available for both of Cubis' SIT pit options.

16mm thick galvanised covers with chain available for both of Cubis' SIT pit options.
