The successful candidate will be based at our Lurgan site, reporting to our Procurement Manager. The junior buyer will support operational delivery of a reliable supply chain by working to the processes and procurement standards of excellence within the business, demonstrating procurement value to stakeholders. They will work with commercial focus of procurement activities by identifying and drawing on synergies across Cubis and other CRH business units. They will be responsible for:

  • Supporting the end to end ordering and tendering process within our new ERP system. Involving all relevant stakeholders in a regulated sox compliant process.
  • Day to day activity delivery which enables tenders and business units to run on-time deliveries.
  • Assist in the identification of new suppliers, consolidate the number of suppliers already in place whilst increasing our creditors days and terms.
  • Assist with supplier negotiations and contract performance to get the best service.
  • Assist in the development of best in class expertise on Epicor and market knowledge for assigned projects.
  • Projects and Placements will include projects within Production, Planning, Technical and business systems such as Finance, Logistics and Sales.
